VUE Fan Fiction Submission Terms
Effective Date: May 18, 2025
Applies to: All content submitted to The VUE at [email protected]
1. Rights You Give Us
When you submit your story, you agree to let us:
Share it inside the VUE and on VMC-related websites and platforms. Use it in future books, projects, or creative works related to the VMC universe. Edit it for clarity, grammar, or formatting—without changing your voice or core meaning. Include it in marketing materials (with credit to you unless you request otherwise). You still own your story. We just have permission to use it alongside our universe.
2. AI-Generated Work
If your story was mostly or entirely created by an AI (like ChatGPT), it:
Is not protected by copyright. Can’t be monetized. Can still be shared in the VUE—just not claimed as your original creation.
3. Monetization
You may not sell or make money from stories set in the VMC universe unless we give written permission.
Want to turn it into a paid book or project? Let’s talk.
4. What’s Not Allowed
We will not accept or publish submissions that:
Contain hate speech or promote discrimination Include non-consensual sexual content Use real names or identities without permission Violate copyright or plagiarize others’ work
5. Privacy and Credit
We don’t collect personal info beyond your submission. We’ll credit you by your name or pseudonym (just tell us which) when we publish your full story or a major excerpt. However, we can’t offer credit when avatars at the VUE borrow parts of your submission to inspire or remix their own content. That’s just how the VUE thinks—messy, mysterious, and collective. If you want your story removed later, email us and we’ll take it down from VUE platforms (but not from printed books or previous releases).
6. Agreement
By submitting your story with a cover letter, you confirm:
That you’ve read and agreed to these terms. That your work follows the rules above. That you understand how your story may be used within the VUE and related content.
