Welcome to the fan fiction challenge.
Think you’ve got a story worth telling inside the Voices of a Midlife Crisis universe? Now’s your chance to add your voice, art, or media to the expanding VMC world. 1. The Challenge Creators and fans are invited to expand the VMC Universe through original works that live inside or alongside Samer Belami’s world. You may submit:
Just make sure your creation connects meaningfully to a moment, place, or figure within the VMC timeline. 2. The Prizes Each year, 10% of total VMC book sales from the previous year is awarded to fan creators who most compellingly expand the universe.
Exact amounts will not be publicly disclosed. 3. Important Dates
4. The Rules of the Realm Your Words, Our World All submissions must be inspired by or set within the VMC Universe—Samer Belami’s multi-dimensional memoir world. You can explore alternate timelines, unseen events, or new voices—but stay true to the emotional and philosophical tone of the original works. Respect the Boundaries No hate speech, non-consensual acts, or gratuitous violence beyond what serves the story. This is a universe of emotion, thought, and transformation—not shock value. No Spoiler Dumping If your work reveals major plot points from Emergence at the VUE or Building My Avatar, clearly mark it at the top. 5. Rights & Copyright Joint Copyright Model All submissions exist within a shared creative space. You keep your credit; AJAM.com LLC retains creative rights to feature, adapt, or archive your work within the VMC Universe. Monetization Fan stories or media cannot be sold independently. Commercial projects require written permission from AJAM.com LLC. AI-Generated Work Stories or art created entirely by AI (without significant human authorship) are not eligible for prizes or copyright protection. AI-assisted creations are welcome—fully automated ones are not. 6. Privacy and Acknowledgment
7. Selection Winners are selected by a panel chosen by AJAM.com LLC. The panel may include editors, creative collaborators, and avatars from the VUE |
